First Impressions: Virgin Hair Fertilizer

As I go through my natural hair journey, I am on the hunt for new products that will help my hair. I’m not really looking for length in my hair I just want nice and healthy hair. If a product promotes healthy hair and length then it’s worth a shot and a bonus.

Last week I was on YouTube looking for something new to try and I came across this this product called “ Virgin Hair Fertilizer”. It was getting all types of hype and people were swearing by it. So I decided to give it a try. I ordered mine off of Amazon for $6.94 with free shipping so it was pretty cheap. Some people said they found theirs at their local beauty supply store but I couldn’t find it there. I even seen it on Walmart.com . I heard that there was a fake out there too. It had a yellow top instead of a red one and the bottom doesn’t fold down. There is also one out there called Virgo Hair Fertilizer but people were saying it’s the same....! I don’t know for sure though. What I do know for sure is that this product has an expiration date of five years so make sure you check yours.

Here are some of the claims:

* This Product Is for Rapid Hair Growth And for Treating Dandruff

* it strengthens hair

* It is recommended for mostly African American and any one with the African American hair type

* It has a strong odor of peppermint

* It is petroleum based and it does work effectively This is just my first impression of this product and not a full review since I’ve only had it for a week. From using it this week I do notice a little new growth shows from under my braids but not as much as other people were saying that they had. Because of the peppermint oil in it, it causes a slight tingling sensation on the scalp. It’s very cooling to me. It does keep my scalp hydrated and I don’t notice any dry nice.It is petroleum base. It has a strong odor of peppermint. It is 125 gram tube. If you are familiar with the Medicated Sulfur 8 then you know the scent. It’s unmistakable. So far it’s pretty good.

I would definitely say to give this a shot if you want to try to add length to your hair. It’s cheap and easy to get ahold of. I will give this another two weeks before I give my full review. If you have ever used this product let me know or if you have any other natural hair products for me try don’t be afraid to let me know.
