Turmeric Mask for glowing skin

      Turmeric, the main spice in curry, is arguably the most powerful herb on the planet at fighting and potentially reversing disease. Not only does this spice have amazing healing properties but it’s also a great beauty product. Turns out Indian brides have long used turmeric as a head-to-toe body scrub and face mask to brighten skin before their weddings. It has so many healing properties.

* Turmeric is high in antioxidants that slow down cell damage.

* It’s widely used as a skin exfoliant and improves skin’s texture.

* It helps with inflammatory skin conditions, such as acne, dry skin, psoriasis and eczema.

* It helps reduce pigmentation and even out the skin tone.

* It is also said to diminish wrinkles.

INGREDIENTS

* 1 teaspoon turmeric

* 1 teaspoon raw honey

* 1 teaspoon full-fat yogurt or nourishing oil, such as almond or coconut oil

Optional addition: Olive oil or avocado oil to apply following the mask.

Directions

Put on an old shirt that you don’t care about just in case the mask drips onto it. Apply to clean, moist skin using your fingertips or a makeup brush, starting at your forehead and going all the way to the bottom of your neck. I prefer to use the brush to avoid getting the turmeric under my nails. Allow the mask to set for about 20 minutes, then rinse away with warm water. Make sure to use a very dark washcloth or one that don’t mind developing a having a bright, sunny tint. If your skin still has a slight tint, apply some olive oil or avocado oil and wipe away the excess. You’ll find that the color goes with it. Enjoy your soft, radiant skin!

I want to assure you that this won’t turn your face yellow or orange. But I definitely recommend a thin layer – the more you pile on the greater your chances of staining, especially on your neck where skin is thinner. I noticed some staining on my hands but it came off easily. You can always wash your face again after showering or applying some olive oil or Avocado oil
