Applying Foundation like a Pro
I know one of the hardest things when it comes to makeup is getting your foundation right. Foundation can be tricky because you don't want it to get cakey, mask like or the wrong color. I've put together some advice to give that I think might help make things simple. The first thing is to make sure that the foundation that you have is YOUR color. When shopping for a foundation in the drugstore you should test the foundation on your jawline or your mid chest area. Make sure that you look at the foundation in natural daylight because some light in the stores changes the way Foundation looks than what it really is. You would know if the foundation is the perfect color if it disappears on your skin without blending. My second advice to you is to prep your skin before applying the foundation. You want to make sure that your skin is clean and moisturized. Wait about 4 minutes before you apply the foundation. I Know that sometimes girls with oily skin feel like they shouldn't put on a moisturizer but, you still need to put one on. Try putting on an oil free moisturizer and a silicon based primer. Buffing your foundation is key. Apply the foundation in circles to buff in into your pores and give you more coverage. You should also use a blending sponge and dab it. Do not swipe it because it will actually take off foundation and make it streaky. My last piece of advice is, don't wear your same foundation every season. Our skin changes during the seasons which means your foundation should too. You can be dark with oily skin in the summer but Light and dry skinned during the winter.
