STRATEGIES TO HELP STOP NAIL BITING

I know it can be hard to stop biting your nail. Trust me, I have the same problem. It can be so tempting to just bite them off when I am bored or when anxiety kicks in. I have put together so tricks that should help with nail biting!

Hardner

Apply two coats of nail hardner polish. Leave for two hours then add another coat of polish to your fingers. I recommend the Sally Hansen nail hardner.

Gum

When you feel the need to bite your nails, chew a nice piece of gum. Chewing gum helps because you can't bite your nails if you already have something in your mouth

Lemon

Another way to keep yourself from biting your nails is to put lemon juice on your nails. Use a small bowl and put lemon juice in it. Dip your finger tips into the bowl. Then let them dry. When you go to bite your nails you will taste the sour lemon flavor.

Wear nail polish

When you wear nail polish you would be more careful when it comes to biting your nails because you wouldn't want to mess up your pretty nails. You should choose a color that you like so that you will not be tempted to pill it off. If you make polishing your nails a hobby your nails will have a chance to grow back.

Bitter Polish

Apply bitter tasting nail polish to your nails. They are available over the counter. This is a safe but gross tasting formula. It helps discourage people from biting their nails. I have tried a couple of these and the one I found that works the best is DR. Marvey Bite Stop. It is gross but I have yet to put my nails in my mouth so I recommend trying it.

I really hope that these tricks helps you guys.
