Tips For Oily Skin

Oily skin is a drag. It can take you through times. Oily skin is caused when the Sebaceous glands are over active, producing excess sebum which makes your skin look shiny and greasy- looking. It also contributes to skin problems like acne, blackheads, enlarged or clogged pores etc. The way to maintain the oil production by following some of these simple skin care and beauty tips for oily skin.

Cleanse

The most tested and proven way to control oily skin is cleansing. It is important to cleanse your face at least twice a day. It is important that you do that because it gets rid of all the dirt and oil that built up on your can. Cleansing the skin helps prevent clogged pores and those horrible face demons. I recommend using a foaming face wash or something Gel- based. You should also use cleansers and moisturizers that say oil free. Do not use a lot of exfoliating products because it strips your face of the natural oils in your face. I know your thinking isn't that the point? Stripping of natural oils make your body produce even more oil because your face will be too dry. Keep your eyes open for products that contains one or more of these: Salicylic Acid Tea Tree oil Honey Neem oil

Weekly Face Mask

This weekly step is really vital too. Face mask that have Bentonite clay or Kaolin clay or Sandalwood in them are really good. They are really good for oily skin because they gently absorb all of that yucky excess oil off of your skin. You can also use a charcoal mask to get rid of the oil.

Toner

Toning daily helps gets rid of excess oil and eliminating dirt from your skin. Don't use a toner with alcohol in it. It dries out the skin and cause more oil to produce. Try using pure Witch Hazel or if you want a more natural toner try using Apple Cidar vinegar. I know it doesn't smell the best but it really works or just use it at night. You can find great alcohol-free toners in your local drugstores.

Hydration

Even if you have oily skin, it is still important to moisturize and put on sunscreen. It prevents wrinkles and reducing red spots. look for weightless protection that keeps you matte. At night choose a lightweight liquid gel that has no ingredients that don't clog pores
